Our Story

FROM MAKING ICE CREAM FOR OTHERS TO MAKING OUR OWN

Kara has been making ice cream professionally since 2018, beginning at Negranti Creamery before joining Central Coast Creamery.

For years, she made ice cream behind the scenes. Developing flavors, dialing in recipes and creating the product that people enjoyed throughout the Central Coast.

Then came the opportunity to build something of our own.

In 2026, Kara and Lee opened Little Spoon Creamery at the SLO Public Market.

Now the ice cream is made here. The doors are open. And we’re finally getting to share it with you.

Made For Moments

We invite you to step into our warm, welcoming environment. Our San Luis Obispo location is the perfect place to slow down, share memories, and enjoy our small-batch artisan ice cream creations.

Limited Batches. Big Moments

HEAR WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Valerie Dillon

"We had a large party of adults and kiddos, and everyone was raving about the ice cream so much that we had to come back the next day! Highlights include: lemon sorbet, strawberry sorbet, coffee ice cream, mint chip, and vanilla ice cream. Incredible. You probably can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. Also, service was amazing!"

Andy Dietler

"Damn fine ice cream"

Ann Peters

"Outrageous! Give me one of everything please! I couldn’t decide between peanut butter Oreo, churro or lemon cream and had to have my husband pick a number between 1-3. Can’t wait to come back for the others! Run, don’t walk here! Delish!Perfection! Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had."

Rachel Fite

"Probably the best ice cream we’ve had, ever. Better than the famous Santa Barbara McConnells and Mission Street. They put mascarpone in the lemon flavor! Amazing! We also tried the espresso, orange sherbet, and mint — all were fantastic! Worth the stop for sure, but even better while using the Tesla chargers nearby."
